Currently, and sitting home on my iPad due to the virus that shut down the earth. Covid-19 has killed almost 80,000 people worldwide. I thought the end of my sophomore school year was gonna be fun. It turns out to be boring. As the days past I try to entertain myself without being on my phone all day. I’ve been painting, practicing soccer, and occasionally hanging out with friends to pass my time. I’m only allowed to hang around two of my friends though because I’ve been with them ever since the whole thing started so if I had it they would have it too. I’m getting sick of being at home all day but

when I was at school all I wanted was to be at home. Every chance I get to get out of the house I take it. Hope to be outside a lot whether it’s playing basketball with my brothers, going on runs, or getting my sun tan on. As of right now I don’t know anyone with a virus fingers crossed it stays that way. The worst thing about it all is not being able to hang out with my friends every weekend. We have a tradition to go

to BJ’s every month for dinner and we can’t go because it’s all shut down. Also, it means no soccer and I can’t see my teammates almost every day. Last, I can’t see my grandparents because my parents are worried about spreading the virus to them. Which means we do a lot of FaceTime.

Coronavirus is forcing people around the globe to be quarantined to their homes. There is currently no vaccine to prevent the disease. The best way to prevent the illness is to stay home. The virus spreads from person-to-person

contact, through coughs, sneezes or talks. Some recent studies have shown that people can be carriers of the disease but not feel symptoms. Wash your hands, avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth and wear a mask can prevent spreading the disease.

It’s hard to create a safe vaccine for a new illness but China is helping us out to find a cure.
